Vitamin D is a super-regulator influencing hundreds of genes in every cell. You probably need a lot more than you think.

Well I have written a book about this.

Vitamin D is a super-regulator, influencing hundreds of genes in every cell, supporting immunity, helping to prevent cancers, autoimmune diseases and heart disease, oh yes, and strengthening bones.

We have figured out the dosages now too; you probably need a lot more than you think – but governments still ignore the facts.

You need magnesium with your vitamin D; there are two-way synergies between them. Vitamin D regulates the metabolism of calcium and magnesium, and magnesium is involved in almost every step in the metabolism of vitamin D.

You also need vitamin K to make vitamin D work; too much D without vitamin K could give you a calcification problem.

Treatments

  • Repeated blood tests to achieve the right blood level
  • Oral supplementation, and sometimes injected
  • General nutritional support
  • Sunlight! And/or photobiomodulation (PBM)
