Too little sunlight and too much toxic screen light. Deal with both parts every bit helps.
There are two parts to this;
- Too little sunlight
- Too much toxic screen light
It’s important to deal with both parts. But you don’t have to be perfect – every bit helps.
First described 60+ years ago by John Ott, who figured out how to fix it. Then we invented mobile phones and wifi and made it all much worse.

- Protect your sleeping environment
- Detox electrosmog, dirty electricity from your environment
What about blue-light blockers?
Screening out HEV (high-energy visible light) in the evenings can help to reset your circadian rhythm, it’s true. But this is my view:
- Mal-illumination means too much bad light AND too little good light; you need to deal with both.
- Indoor light can be 1/100th of full sunlight across all wavelengths. Do you want to deprive yourself even more?
